FGST Member Cindy Weatherly Named Ourstanding 2012 Volunteer Genealogist of the Year by NSDAR

In the Daughters of the American Newsletter, July/August 2012, Vol 12 #4, page 308, Volunteer Genealogists:

"The Volunteer Genealogists Committee sends accolades & congratulations to Cynthia Lynn Johnson Weatherby, the 2012 Outstanding Volunteer Genealogist of the Year.  She is a member of the St. Petersburg Chapter, St. Petersburg, FL.  Mrs. Weatherby has been a Daughter since 2003, and her focus has been membership and new patriots/children. She became a charter member of the St. Petersburg Chapter in 2007, when it had  35 members.  The chapter now includes 193 members.  Mrs. Weatherby has helped 186 Daughters complete applications and become members.  She is willing to help any prospective member become a member of NSDAR, a fact that is reflected in letters written by several chapters in Florida.  Mrs. Weatherby notes that if you wear a DAR shirt, women will come up to you and say, "I have always wanted to be a member of the DAR."
