I began my family history journey ten years ago. Spurred on by the passing of my in-laws, I grabbled with all those questions we didn’t ask. It is then that I picked up the torch as the family genealogist. I had no idea where it would take me and it continues to be a journey of self discovery.
Over those 10 years, I have learned equally about myself as I have about my ancestors. I discovered a love for writing family history and turning those dry facts into fascinating stories. Today I am a freelance writer and family historian with a particular interest in writing life stories. I live in Simcoe, Ontario, Canada with my husband and two daughters.
I have a background in management, human resources and training. I have authored my own family history book, The Waters of My Ancestors and I have written articles for several genealogy magazines, including Internet Genealogy, Family Chronicle and Discovering Family History. I am also a board director with Norfolk Historical Society.
